Tocchet and Kessel have a history, having won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 and 2017. Tocchet's coaching was instrumental in Kessel's success during their time together, leading to Tocchet being affectionately referred to as the 'Phil Whisperer.' Their close relationship suggests the potential for a reunion on the West Coast of Vancouver.
Stay tuned for further developments.
