While no new players were added to the waiver wire on Friday, three players from yesterday's batch were claimed.
Three Players Claimed Off The Waiver Wire
Firstly, the Ottawa Senators claimed forward Boris Katchouk off waivers from the Blackhawks. Katchouk concludes his tenure with Chicago with 26 points in 117 games. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and there were no indications of an extension from the Hawks. He has contributed five goals and four assists in 38 games this season.
Defenseman William Lagesson was claimed off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs by the Anaheim Ducks. The 28-year-old participated in 30 games with Toronto this year.
Lastly, the Florida Panthers claimed Tobias Bjornfot off waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights. After acquiring Noah Hanifin and Anthony Mantha, Vegas exceeded the 23-player roster limit before placing Bjornfot on waivers. The 22-year-old defenseman had been on the injured reserve since January 13. He has only played in three games this season and has yet to register a point.
In other news, Tony DeAngelo (CAR), Brendan Lemieux (CAR), Antti Raanta (CAR), Jordan Oesterle (CGY), and Evan Cormier (FLA) all cleared waivers.
More to come...
