Former NHL player Tyson Nash has shockingly revealed that he was robbed of $1.8 million, with former NHLer Chris Pronger elaborating on the details.
Professional athletes often make millions doing what they love, allowing them to provide for their families and friends. However, having significant wealth can sometimes make them targets for exploitation, as seen in the past with Sergei Fedorov and Jack Johnson.
Tyson Nash, a former member of the Arizona Coyotes and St. Louis Blues, fell victim to a similar fate. Chris Pronger explained that almost all of Nash's earnings were embezzled by his financial manager.
Devastated to hear his financial advisor embezzled nearly all his savings. In deep depression, it was his wife Kathy who helped him put his work boots back on. They created a viable business and got back on their feet. Their story is an inspiration to us all. Bravo Nash's

Pronger shared more details about Nash's situation, highlighting the severity of the financial betrayal and Nash's subsequent depression.
«There was another one, Tyson Nash. You've probably never heard of it, I didn't know it either until he told me. He was incredibly embarrassed. His fund manager embezzled money from his bank account, stole money directly from his account. He thought he had more money than he actually did. He became depressed, not knowing what to do until his lovely wife Kathy shook him a bit and made him react,» Pronger said.
«He had a nice little nest egg of $2 million that he probably would have counted on and put to good use to live a comfortable life. Instead, I think he said he had $200,000 left in his bank account,» Pronger said.
Despite the dire circumstances, Nash and his wife managed to overcome the financial setback. They built a successful business and are now doing very well.
«He did wonders, sold that business and the rest is Nash history,» Pronger said. «They are doing incredibly well, are very successful and have now figured out how to do business, bringing that determination and perseverance and toughness that he had while playing, and applied it to the business world. He and his wife are doing incredibly well and they are very proud of themselves.»
Nash played in 374 NHL games, scoring 27 goals and 37 assists, and was known for his gritty physical play, accumulating 673 penalty minutes.
