Connor Mylymok gave Jared Nightingale another Rockford jolt Friday, and this scrap looked like it had no off-ramp.

Dana Grey's clip took off because the exchange just kept rolling. It was one of those hockey moments where both guys stayed planted and neither side wanted out.
That part fits Mylymok's season.
Rockford re-signed him through 2026-27 in January, and at that point he led the club with 103 penalty minutes through 25 games.
So this was not some random flashpoint. This is part of why the IceHogs brought him in and then kept him around.
Mylymok has built a name for himself as a winger who can drag a game into the trenches fast.
HockeyFights lists multiple scraps for him this season, including two against Yanick Turcotte.
That is why the clip hit so hard online. Fans were not just watching a guy lose his cool. They were watching a player lean all the way into the role he already owns.

Mylymok is becoming Rockford's chaos button

Rockford signed Mylymok last July after he put up 23 points in 40 ECHL games with Rapid City and added 32 penalty minutes in 8 AHL games with Calgary.
That background matters because it explains why he stands out so fast in clips like this. He is not there to play soft minutes and disappear into the bench.
Nightingale's group has young pieces to develop, and players like Mylymok can change the temperature of a night in one shift.
That edge has value in a league where games can turn nasty in a hurry.
And this clip had that old-school pull to it. Long exchange, heavy swings, no early takedown, and the kind of crowd reaction that makes the whole building buzz.
That is why it felt bigger than one scrap on the timeline. It looked like the kind of sequence teammates remember and opponents do not forget.
Mylymok is not chasing style points here. He is building a reputation, and Friday's clip only pushed that label further.
