Tonight, a new report has revealed that movie star Keanu Reeves has signed a contract with the Windsor Spitfires for a good cause.
The Windsor Spitfires announced that they have signed Keanu Reeves to a standard contract. Reeves was originally drafted by the team as a goaltender in 1982, but an injury forced him to quit hockey before he could play. Now, 39 years later, the star of movies like The Matrix and John Wick has finally signed his OHL contract, although this time it's for charity.
This contract is part of a fundraising effort led by Reeves, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor. Any signed items from the event will be auctioned off, and the funds will support mental health care in Windsor.
Though he never got to play in the OHL, Keanu Reeves still holds that time in his life close to his heart. Now, he's using this connection to give back to the community he once called home.
