Czarnik, 31, played 34 games with the Detroit Red Wings last season, posting one assist and a minus-3 rating. He also played 38 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins, recording 10 goals and 28 points.

Czarnik has been a reliable depth forward in recent seasons. He now moves to SC Bern, where he is expected to take on a more significant role and be one of their key forwards.

After completing his college career at Miami University, the undrafted Czarnik signed an entry-level contract with the Bruins in March 2015. He played 59 games for Boston between 2016 and 2018, recording five goals and 17 points.

Czarnik was a star in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, scoring 53 goals and 155 points in 157 games over four seasons.

Czarnik's move to SC Bern marks a new chapter in his career, and he looks forward to making a significant impact with his new team.
