New York Islanders sign 35-year old veteran free agent goaltender

Kinkaid, 35, is one of three goaltenders on the Islanders' rookie camp roster. Last season, he played in the AHL for the Chicago Wolves, appearing in 24 games with an 8-14-2 record, a .880 save percentage, and a 3.54 goals-against average.
Kinkaid, who went undrafted, signed his first NHL contract with the New Jersey Devils in 2011 after playing two seasons at Union College. Hailing from Farmingville, New York, he has played 169 NHL games, with a 70-58-21 record, a .905 save percentage, and a 2.91 GAA across several teams, including the Devils, Canadiens, Rangers, Bruins, and Avalanche.
