Stanley Cup champion Nick Cousins is heading north, having just signed a contract with the Ottawa Senators.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli has reported that the gritty forward has officially joined the Ottawa Senators.
Cousins is coming off a Stanley Cup win with the Florida Panthers and has been the subject of many rumors about where he might end up. Although some teams hesitated to sign him due to past attitude issues, the Senators needed some grit, and Cousins seems like a good fit.
Originally a third-round pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2011, Cousins has played 592 career games, scoring 71 goals and 109 assists for a total of 180 points.
More details to follow.
