The Colorado Avalanche faced numerous distractions during their first-round match-up against the Seattle Kraken, primarily due to the ongoing story involving forward Valeri Nichushkin and the infamous hotel room incident.
In April, the police were called to a Seattle hotel where an overly intoxicated woman was discovered in Nichushkin's hotel room, while Nichushkin himself was nowhere to be found.
Nichushkin had left the Avalanche for personal reasons, indicating that he has personal matters to address. However, he may face trouble as a video from that night, reportedly containing over 40 minutes of footage, has emerged and is currently in possession of the Seattle Police.
