The Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers just completed a massive trade that no one was expecting. The deal involved a prospect swap in which both teams sent top prospects the other way.

Flyers And Ducks make Blockbuster Trade

The Ducks announced the trade today on X just moments ago. The team sent top defense prospect Jamie Drysdale to the Flyers in exchange for a 2nd round pick in 2025 and Flyers top prospect Cutter Gautier.
TRADE: We have acquired left wing Cutter Gauthier from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft.
According to sources, Gauthier had no interest playing for the Flyers, resulting in the trade.
This deal will certainly shake up the future of both franchises. While Drysdale is a blue chip prospect in his own right, Gauthier is a player that can potentially help turn the Ducks' fortunes around quicker than expected. Stay tuned as more details about this trade come out.
