Bruins and Oilers: Two Opposite Starts Defying All Predictions

image
The Boston Bruins and the Edmonton Oilers have had completely different starts to their seasons, going in the opposite way of many experts' predictions.
The Bruins have a 10-1-1 record and are sitting at the top of the Atlantic Division, as the Oilers' 2-8-1 record placed them seventh in the Pacific.
Could they be poised to make a trade?
With the Oilers placing Jack Campbell on waivers, there's suddely a lot of options on the table in Edmonton.
A renowned anchor in the hockey world proposed a massive scenario.

John Buccigross Proposes Massive Trade Scenario Between Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins Involving Ullmark and Draisaitl

Buccigross, who's been a sportscaster since the 1990's, made a huge trade proposal between the Oilers and the Bruins.
In his post, he asks a question to Ryan Whitney, former NHLer and co-host of Spittin' Chiclets, if he would make the following trade:
Boston gets: Leon Draisaitl and Warren Foegele

Edmonton gets: Linus Ullmark, Jake DeBrusk, Matthew Poitras, Fabian Lysell and a 1t round pick in 2026.

Here's what he said:
"Ryan, would you trade Draisaitl and Foegele for...last years Vezina winner, DeBrusk, Poitras, Lysell and a 2026 1st rounder? The Central Registry would approved this proposed trade for cap and roster implications."

This is a huge scenario. Draisaitl, Foegele and Ullmark will all be free agents after the current season. Chances are they'll all seek important raises.
Poitras and Lysell are still both on their entry-level contracts.
This would be a blockbuster trade and it could have a big impact on both organizations.
Would you make that deal?
