It was all quiet in the NHL before Chris Tanev got moved to the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night. Last night, the Leafs acquired Ilya Lyubushkin from the Ducks and it seems that the domino effect has been triggered as the New Jersey Devils announced today that they have also made a trade with the Colorado Avalanche.

Devils Acquire MacDermid From The Avs

According to insider Chris Johnston, the Devils have acquired Kurtis MacDermid from the Colorado Avalanche.
The #NJDevils have acquired Kurtis MacDermid from the #avs for a 2024 seventh-round pick and the rights to Zakhar Bardakov.
MacDermid, a 6'5", 235-pound forward, brings physicality and experience to the Devils lineup. In exchange, the Devils sent forward Zakhar Bardakov and a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft to the Avalanche.
This trade adds depth to the Devils roster as they aim to make a push for the playoffs.
More to come...
