Marc-Andre Fleury has certainly had a storied career. He's won multiple Stanley Cups, surpassed Patrick Roy for 2nd all-time in NHL wins, and now he's played in 1000 NHL games. The excitement is not quite over for him yet though as one NHL insider has linked him to three teams at the trade deadline.

Fleury Linked To Three Teams By NHL Insider

Elliotte Friedman revealed on 32 thoughts today that he believes three teams have significant interest in the veteran netminder. The teams he lists are the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, and Edmonton Oilers.
When it comes to goalies, Marc-Andre Fleury will have the biggest impact. He's earned the right to call his shot; nothing happens without his approval. Fleury initially was unhappy to move from Vegas to Chicago, and needed convincing to go to Minnesota. But the guy eats, breathes and loves hockey, so he adapts upon arrival. This screams Carolina, Colorado or Edmonton, all playoff-bound. But, in some of those situations, he wouldn't be the starter, so that factors in. Again, it's his call, and deservedly so.

If Fleury is traded to any of these teams he would most likely be playing in a backup role. However, any of these teams would give him a legitimate chance at getting another Stanley Cup Championship.

Fleury Gets Special treatment In 1000th Career NHL Game

The 39-year-old netminder made headlines for another reason today. He officially played in his 1000th career NHL Start as the Wild hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins. The goalie was greeted by some of his former teammates ahead of the game as they gave him a special gift.

The fan-favorite goaltender was also honored by his teammates tonight as he lead them out on the ice. Instead of following him like normal for warmups, the other players stopped at the bench door to give him a solo lap as if he were playing his first career game.
The Wild currently lead the Penguins 1-0 early in the game. Stay tuned to see if Fleury is able to secure his 553rd career win.
