The Vegas Golden Knights have officially moved on from all-star netminder Logan Thompson, trading him to the Washington Capitals.

The Golden Knights have traded one of their top goaltenders, Logan Thompson, to the Washington Capitals!
🚨 TRADE ALERT 🚨

The Golden Knights have acquired a 2024 3rd round pick and a 2025 3rd round pick from the Washington Capitals in exchange for goalie Logan Thompson.

The Washington Capitals have acquired goaltender Logan Thompson from the Vegas Golden Knights for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (originally from the NY Islanders) and Washington's own third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

The Capitals had previously traded their starting netminder, Darcy Kuemper, to LA in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois. Thompson will now share the net with Charlie Lindgren and help the Capitals aim for a return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Golden Knights gain valuable draft picks they can use either in this draft or for future trades. Stay tuned for more updates.
