The 2023 NHL pre-season started overnight in Melbourne, Australia, and the game was a fun display for the NHL down under, especially when Arizona Coyotes young prospect Logan Cooley is doing what he did.
Goal of the Year?

During the second period, a former top Coyotes pick Logan Cooley took the puck, and in a display that must have Arizona fans excited, he made absolute magic happen.
Every time Cooley has stepped on the ice at whichever level he's been at, he shows off skills like this, and it was unsurprisingly enough to make the Coyotes draft him with the No. 3 overall pick back in 2022.
A potential breakout season
Now, in one moment, Cooley has painted a target on his back for the fans, media and other players, and given this incredible display of skill, he'll have more pressure on his shoulders to deliver in his rookie year.
In 39 games for the University of Minnesota a year ago, Cooley tallied 22 goals and 60 points, and given how crucial he is to the future of the Coyotes, if he can get rolling early in the season, they'll be an incredibly fun team to watch.
As Read on Blade of Steel - Logan Cooley just scored the goal of the year, and most people weren't awake to see it
