The Calgary Flames are offering fans the chance to exchange their Dillon Dube jerseys for a new one at a discounted price due to the ongoing Hockey Canada scandal.
As the investigation and court proceedings continue, there is still no clear resolution for the players involved. However, the Flames are taking steps to do right by their fans. According to a recent social media post, the team is allowing anyone who purchased a Dube jersey to return it for a replacement at a reduced cost.
Although there may not be many Dube jerseys out there, the Flames are showing that they value their fans' experience over profits. This gesture is especially significant given that Dube had previously announced a leave of absence for personal reasons, which has now become part of a more complicated situation.
So far, no other NHL teams have made similar offers, but the Flames deserve credit for prioritizing their fans during this difficult time.
