Despite being eliminated from the NHL playoff race, the Chicago Blackhawks are still active in building their team, recently signing a promising new player from the NCAA.
Adding to their roster of young talents, the Blackhawks announced the signing of Landon Slaggert, who joins star rookie Connor Bedard.
Slaggert, a former third-round pick in 2020, comes off an impressive season with Notre Dame, tallying 31 points. His contract spans two years with a cap hit just over $900,000.
While it's uncertain when Slaggert will make his debut with the team, Chicago's commitment to nurturing young talent promises an exciting future for the Blackhawks as they continue to develop potential NHL stars.
