After a slow star to his career in Columbus, the Blue Jackets have officially placed forward Carson Meyer on waivers.
Carson Meyer was a sixth-round pick of the Blue Jackets back in 2017, and after years of grinding, the 26-year old finally made his NHL debut back in 2021-22. Since that point, he has tallied 2 goals and 5 points in 39 games played, but it appears the teams patience has officially run out, as they have now placed him on waivers.

At this time of his career, it's unlikely that Meyer will find much interest on the waiver wire, and the most possible scenario is that he will return to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters, for whom he has played 55 games this season with 37 points. If Meyer can't crack this roster, it's bleak for his future in the NHL, but for now, all we know is that he's done at the NHL level for Columbus.
