The ECHL has never been the most talented league in hockey, with scrappy play and fights becoming the norm, but on Friday, they took it to another level entirely.
A line brawl in the NHL drew major headlines at Madison Square Garden this week, and it's clear that the fighting doesn't stop in lower levels either, with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and the Orlando Solar Bears all dropping the gloves on Friday. With the game tied at 0 late in the third period, a line brawl ensued between these two teams that lasted almost a minute and unsurprisingly saw some big time ejections.

In a shock turn of events, less than one minute later, it happened again, with exactly 268 penalty minutes being handed out to the two teams.
"Tonight's Orlando Solar Bears vs. Greenville Swamp Rabbits game featured 268 minutes in penalties. 139 for the Solar Bears, a single-game high for the 2023-24 season." Battaino said.
If the chaos of the Devils-Rangers brawl was something fans enjoyed, they certainly loved this one, and given this is a playoff series, they'll meet again on Saturday in what may be absolute mayhem if nothing was resolved.
