The Detroit Red Wings have made a roster move on Sunday afternoon placing one of their forwards on the waiver wire.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Detroit Red Wings have put forward Matt Luff on waivers with the intention of sending him to their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Luff signed a one-year, $775K contract with the Red Wings during the previous offseason.
However, he has not played any games for the team this season due to an injury sustained during training camp.
