Campbell Continues To During AHL Opportunity
Earlier this season the Edmonton Oilers sent Jack Campbell to the AHL during severe struggles. The team hoped he would find confidence and earn his way back to the NHL. However, to this point in his AHL stint, he has arguably been worse than before.
Since being pulled discussions and rumors have indicated that Jack Campbell could be demoted to the backup role in the AHL. Today Elliotte Friedman spoke on these rumors after doing some digging.
Friedman Confirms The Worst For Campbell's Future
The report that Elliotte Friedman gave confirmed what many had predicted about Jack Campbell. Friedman says that the Oilers are going to move Campbell into the backup role in AHL Bakersfield in favor of Olivier Rodrigue.

This all but confirms Jack Campbell's opportunity to earn his NHL job back is gone. It will take a drastic change in play or a change of scenery for Campbell to end back up in the NHL.
