Matthew Tkachuk's comments have gone viral on social media after he insulted the Bruins and the city of Boston following his team's Game 6 series win.
The Florida Panthers needed one more win to secure a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals. They achieved this with a strong performance, earning a date with the New York Rangers.
In an interview after the game, Tkachuk expressed his excitement about facing the New York Rangers and took a major shot at Boston for an incident earlier in the day.
"It's playoff hockey in New York. It's a dream... Conference final at MSG? That's just so cool. We're excited to start that on Wednesday. Hopefully, the hotel doesn't pull the fire alarm on us."
Known for his friendly banter with opposing teams, Tkachuk didn't hold back after beating the Bruins. Now, he and the Florida Panthers will head to New York to take on the President's Trophy-winning Rangers in a clash of the top two teams in the East.
