Last season was difficult to watch for Carey Price. After helping the Montreal Canadiens have it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals in 2021, he missed almost all of the following 2021-22 season. After a stint in the NHLPA Player Assistance Program for alcohol abuse, and rehabilitation from his knee injury, he made it into 5 games at the end of the season.
One of the most memorible scenes was a moment between Price and Alexander Ovechkin, where Ovechkin showed Price some respect for making the incredible comeback:

Carey Price has not played at all again this season, and there have been many reports that despite having multiple years left on his contract, he will never play in the NHL again.
At the end of this season, his wife has confirmed they will be leaving Montreal and moving out west closer to their family.
But despite this, Price has officially rejoined the team and is travelling with them. While he is not playing, he will be joining the scratches in the press-box and taking in what possibly might be his final time travelling with the Montreal Canadiens.
Carey Price is reportedly traveling with the #GoHabsGo to Toronto. https://t.co/B978ouchSt— Hands Down Hockey (@handsdownhockey) April 8, 2023
