The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs are two of the biggest rivals in hockey. As original 6 franchises, they have faced off numerous times throughout the years. While their rivalry may not be as intense as Montreal's with Boston, it still exists.

During a recent game on Saturday where the Canadiens visited Toronto, the Maple Leafs dominated with a score of 7-1. The game became heated, resulting in some physical altercations between players.

However, amidst the tension, a heartwarming moment occurred when veteran player Mark Giordano put aside the rivalry to demonstrate great sportsmanship.

During a play where Nick Suzuki was charging into the zone, Giordano delivered a crushing hit that caused Suzuki's stick to become stuck in his gear. Instead of discarding it like most players would, Giordano skated over to Suzuki and handed him back his stick.
