Elliotte Friedman confirms the Montreal Canadiens are working to get two players on the trade market
In the latest 32 Thoughts podcast episode, the insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that the Montreal Canadiens are working to get two players on the trade market.
Even though they won their last two games, the Habs still need to get better before hoping to become playoff contenders. As of now, they are "in the mix", tied with three other teams in the Atlantic Division at nine points.
In the past, it's been clear that Kent Hughes won't sacrifice assets for the immediate success of the team. However, this could change soon, according to Elliotte Friedman.
The insider revealed recently that the Canadiens are looking for a top-four defenseman and a "forward with some edge".
Here's what he said on 32 Thoughts:
"32 Thoughts Podcast: Elliotte talks about the Montreal want of a top 4 RHD and a F with some edge. They have a plan for their young players and don't want to block them so any adds will have to be compatible with their future plans. May have to subtract to add. #GoHabsGo #NHL"
