Tensions flared at Montreal Canadiens practice when Michael Pezzetta was taken down, prompting Patrik Laine to step in right away to defend his teammate.

It was the first day of rookie camp, with young players hitting the ice, but we also got to see the regulars in action as they were still out there skating.
Training camp is already heating up for the Montreal Canadiens, with intensity levels high right from the start. The players have been fiercely competitive, battling hard in the corners and showcasing tremendous energy.
It's a positive sign to see such focus and determination this early in camp. The team's commitment to maintaining peak condition ahead of the upcoming season is evident, and it bodes well for their performance once the games begin.

In the video, you'll see Michael Pezzetta take a tough (but accidental) hit from David Savard, but what really stands out is the quick reaction of Patrik Laine, the Canadiens new forward.
Laine didn't hit Savard as there was no bad intent, but he immediately stepped up to defend Pezzetta, showing great instincts. Expect the 6-foot-5 winger to do the same in real game situations, standing up for his teammates when it matters most.
This is a great sign for Patrik Laine and the Montreal Canadiens who seems to be fitting in perfectly!
