Arseni Gritsyuk sent a loud, physical message for head coach Sheldon Keefe on Saturday.

The New Jersey Devils completely dismantled the New York Rangers, skating away with a dominant 6-3 victory in front of a roaring home crowd. It was a game filled with beautiful goals, and the physicality you would want from this rivalry.
But the true highlight of the night belongs entirely to a shocking display of raw aggression from a player usually praised for his soft hands.
Gritsyuk absolutely manhandled Juuso Parssinen during a heated exchange that quickly devolved into a dangerously one-sided beatdown.
This was not a standard hockey tilt where two opponents politely square up at the blue line and trade harmless jersey jabs.
Gritsyuk grabbed hold of Parssinen instantly and unleashed an overwhelming barrage of heavy right hands directly to his face.
He pummeled the stunned Rangers forward relentlessly, landing consecutive blows until the linesmen finally rushed in and physically pulled him away.

Sending A Clear Message

Parssinen barely managed to get his gloves off before he was eating clean punches to the jaw in a scrap that lasted mere seconds.
The Devils bench erupted after the altercation, using that massive surge of emotion to fuel a relentless offensive output against a scrambling New York defense.
Over his NHL career, Gritsyuk has built a reputation on high-end speed and dynamic scoring rather than dropping the mitts on a weekend rivalry night.
That perception vanished the second he tossed Parssinen to the ice, reminding the entire division that New Jersey absolutely refuses to be bullied.
The Rangers had no answers after the fight, looking completely disjointed during their transition game and struggling to generate any sustained pressure.
Meanwhile, the Devils kept their foot pinned to the gas pedal, executing crisp passing plays and directing 37 shots on goal to secure the 6-3 final.
New Jersey desperately needed a signature moment to validate their physical identity this season, and their young star delivered it with his bare fists.
The Rangers will undoubtedly think twice before taking any cheap liberties against this roster the next time these two bitter rivals clash in the Show.
