Josh Bailey has consistently played in the NHL since 2008. However, 15 years and 1057 games later, his tenure might be coming to an end.
Bailey's Ottawa PTO Ends
After completing over 1000 games with Long Island, Bailey ventured to Ottawa this off-season with a professional tryout. Despite his efforts to continue in the NHL, it seems he won't be staying on, as his PTO has not been retained.
The general opinion is that at 34, Bailey struggles to match the speed and intensity of the current NHL.
While it's sad to witness Bailey's opportunity slip away, it's unlikely that this will be the final chapter in his extensive hockey career.
