Major New York Rangers Announcement Leaks Online

This past summer it was rumoured that the Rangers would be adding an alternate jersey to their lineup, and now it appears those rumours could be true. A recent leak has gone viral online which features potential pictures of the Rangers' third jerseys.

The leaked images feature a tag on the package which says "NYR THIRD", which gives a strong indication that there could be some validity to the leaks.

If the leaks are true, the Rangers would see a return to the Sheild on the jersey for the first time since the 1977-78 season. Since then, the team has worn the diagonal lettering on their jerseys today.

The only thing that is holding back full belief in the leaks is that the jerseys in the photo are Adidas, and the next brand that is doing NHL jerseys is Fanatics. However, those jerseys don't come into effect until next year, so it could be the case that the Rangers ordered their third jersey through Adidas for this year.
