On Friday night, Ottawa Senators defenseman Jakob Chychrun caught the attention of the fans when he left the ice during intermission alongside members of the Dallas Stars.

Social media buzzed with speculation, suggesting Chychrun might be attempting to get traded or distance himself from the struggling Senators who appear to be missing the playoffs once again.

Despite the initial bizarre appearance, a closer look provides a more reasonable explanation for the incident. The exit from the Stars bench was simply closer to the arena's medical facilities than the exit from the Senators bench.
