After landing on the New York Rangers at the deadline a year ago, Tarasenko has now been moved to another contender, this time landing with the Florida Panthers.
In return, it's expected that the Senators will get two draft picks as compensation, and given that he was simply a late summer signing, this has worked out brilliantly for the Senators.
This isn't the only deal that the Panthers are expected to make at the deadline, but it's a massive one to start with, and makes them even more dangerous in the tough Eastern Conference.
