The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that defenseman Ryan Graves' season is done due to an injury.
The Pittsburgh Penguins face a crucial matchup against the Detroit Red Wings tonight as they vie for the final Wild Card playoff spot in the tightly contested Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, the Penguins will be without key defenseman Ryan Graves for the rest of the regular season. Graves, in his debut season with the Penguins, has been placed on LTIR due to a concussion, sidelining him for a minimum of 10 games and 24 days.
Defenseman Ryan Graves has been placed on injured reserve.
Graves, formerly with the Colorado Avalanche and New Jersey Devils, signed a six-year, $27 million contract with the Penguins. In his 70 appearances this season, he has scored three goals and recorded 11 assists.
