Colton Parayko of the St. Louis Blues has been a hot trade commodity for the past year, and now there are reportedly three frontrunners to land his services.

Parayko has been linked to a trade from the Blues for the past year. With the team not expected to be a genuine threat in 2024-25, trade speculation has resurfaced. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported that three Canadian teams have varying levels of interest in the 31-year-old defenseman:
Parayko's name continues to swirl around the trade winds, as it has for the last two seasons. He has a full NTC and five more years left on his contract. It'll take a big deal, and his approval, to make something happen, but the Blues are exploring their options and seem set on moving at least one of their defenceman this off-season.

Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa
The team that makes the most sense for Parayko is the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have already added Chris Tanev and Oliver Ekman-Larsson this off-season. Adding Parayko would give them one of the deepest defensive groups in the NHL.
In 2023-24, Parayko had a +4 rating and recorded 26 points in all 82 games. However, with teams like Nashville, Colorado, Winnipeg, Minnesota, and Dallas likely ahead of them in the Central Division, it makes sense for St. Louis to start looking toward the future.
