In a dramatic turn of events during tonight's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens, Nikita Kucherov caused Kaiden Guhle to bleed following a dirty hit which might result in a suspension from the NHL.

Although the referees didn't call a penalty on the ice, it was evident that Kucherov's hit on Guhle was a dangerous boarding infraction, directly hitting him from behind. Given the recent emphasis on player safety by the league, Kucherov is likely facing a suspension.
Kucherov sees numbers here the entire way. Garbage hit and no call from the refs.
Kucherov, a contender for the Art Ross Trophy alongside Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid, now risks missing out on the title if suspended.
The impact of the hit was visible as Guhle suffered bleeding from the mouth. Despite this, Guhle has shown tremendous skill throughout the season, effortlessly handling the toughest opponents in the NHL.
The decision of the Department of Player Safety regarding this incident remains to be seen.
