The Leafs offense has been firing on all cylinders to start the season as they've found the back of the net 14 times in just three games. Granted, Auston Matthews and William Nylander account for 9 of those goals by themselves. That being said, they continue to experiment with the roster and now it looks like it is Knies's turn in the top six.
So far, Knies has recorded just one assist through six career regular season games dating back to last season. However, he has shown some offensive upside in the playoffs when he scored 4 points in 7 games. It seems as though Sheldon Keefe believes in the youngster, or at least he believes in giving the kid a chance to play with real star power.
