Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving is in talks with forwards Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi about potential long-term extensions.

Last season, Domi and Bertuzzi emerged as key secondary scorers for the Leafs, behind the team's core four players. Together, they combined for 90 points, with Domi scoring 47 and Bertuzzi adding 43. Both also brought some much-needed grit to the team.
Insider Pierre LeBrun recently provided an update on their future with the Leafs:
The Leafs are in talks to retain Tyler Bertuzzi and Max Domi for long-term contracts: The Maple Leafs are discussing multi-year deals, potentially worth $5 million to $6 million annually.

Regarding Bertuzzi, LeBrun said:
"There's mutual interest in Bertuzzi returning to the Leafs, but the team is juggling a few things so it's not clear if it gets done." - Pierre LeBrun on Tyler Bertuzzi

For Domi, the situation seems more certain:
"Domi enjoyed his season playing in his hometown. Similar to the Bertuzzi situation, term will be key for the 29-year-old Domi after he settled for one year, $3 million with the Leafs last summer. I would imagine five or six years at between $5 million and $6 million would get it done." - Pierre LeBrun on Max Domi

To keep Domi and Bertuzzi, the Leafs may need to consider moving on from one or more of their core four players to free up the necessary cap space.
