After a dominating performance during Toronto's short stint in this year's Stanley Cup playoffs, the Maple Leafs seem unable to come to a deal with forward Max Domi.

Max Domi has been all over the continent during his nine-year career in the NHL. After a season between the Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars, the player pulled in 20 goals and 56 total points after 80 games. The Toronto Maple Leafs snagged this player for the start of the regular season on a low-risk one-year contract.

"🖊 We've signed forward Max Domi to a one-year contract"

Domi and many Leafs fans were excited about the player's appearance on the team. Max is the son of Tie Domi, a well-known enforcer for the team who played 12 of his 16 years in the NHL for Toronto.

"Max Domi agrees to one-year deal with Toronto Maple Leafs.
Domi will wear the same uniform his legendary enforcer father wore for 12 NHL seasons. #LeafsForever"

Unfortunately, Domi may have to leave his home once again. This 29-year-old forward has been unable to come to a mutual agreement with the Toronto Maple Leafs. According to Toronto Sun reporter Steve Simmons, the player needs to look for an agent who can get the right number for both parties.

"If I were Max Domi and I wanted to stay with the Leafs, I'd find myself a new agent. The numbers being floated around for Domi don't fit what the Leafs will be looking at."

With General Manager Brad Treliving already working on contract extensions with Tyler Bertuzzi, Domi might remain on the back burner for the Leafs for a little while. Hopefully, the forward takes the reporter's advice and gets a more calculated agent. If not, the player will have to pack his bags for another adventure to a new team.
