The Toronto Maple Leafs are reportedly bringing in Stanley Cup Champion Lane Lambert to join the team which is set to be announced in the near future.

A new report has linked former NHL head coach Lane Lambert to the Toronto Maple Leafs staff as Craig Berube searches for assistant coaches.
Craig Berube has been leading the Toronto Maple Leafs for several weeks since being hired by Brad Treliving. There has been much speculation about who he will choose as his assistant coaches.
NHL insider Darren Dreger reported that Lane Lambert, former head coach of the New York Islanders, might join the Leafs soon.
Lane Lambert, previously with the New York Islanders, is someone to who could join the Leafs as Craig Berube assembles his coaching staff.
Dreger added that Lambert would likely focus on the offensive side of the game, managing the forwards under Berube's vision.
I've heard that Lane Lambert, formerly of the New York Islanders, could join the Toronto Maple Leafs. I would assume he would manage the forwards under the guidance of Craig Berube.
Lambert's tenure with the Islanders was turbulent, with his team struggling to string together wins in the 2023-24 season. He was let go by the Islanders and replaced by Patrick Roy.
#Isles News: New York Islanders President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Lou Lamoriello announced today that Lane Lambert has been relieved of his coaching responsibilities. Patrick Roy has been named Head Coach of the New York Islanders.
During his two seasons as the Islanders' head coach, Lambert compiled a 61-46-20 record and led the team to one playoff run. Although no interviews or negotiations are far along yet, Lambert could bring valuable playoff experience to the Maple Leafs bench.
We will provide the latest updates once the Toronto Maple Leafs make an official decision regarding their assistant coaching vacancies.
