Utah HC's first goal in franchise history is unfortunately an own goal

The Utah Hockey Club has already made a unique first impression in the NHL, with their first unofficial goal being an own goal.
After the Arizona Coyotes era ended, the Utah Hockey Club quickly made waves in the league, even without being part of the Stanley Cup playoffs. A lot of information was leaked about the team, including logos, colors, and potential team names, shared by team owner Ryan Smith.
"We've got our fourI think Mammoth is up there, I think Yeti is up there. I think a couple other ones are up there, it should be good."
In their preseason game against the St. Louis Blues, Utah's first unofficial goal was unfortunately an own goal. Milos Keleman sent the puck down to Utah prospect Dylan Guenther, but he couldn't reach it, resulting in a fluke goal that put St. Louis up 2-0.
"And now down to the corner for Keleman, that got away from Dylan Guenther, and he's gotta hurry up and get this puck. The net is empty, and it trickles in! A flukey goal against Utah. St. Louis will make it two-nothing on a strange, wobbling puck all the way down."
Fortunately, Utah bounced back when Michael Carcone scored their first official goal, assisted by Ben McCartney, making it 2-1.
"McCartney steals it, it's a 2-on-0! McCartney, Carcone! Carcone scores! It's the first-ever goal in Utah Hockey Club NHL history. Two-to-one. Michael Carcone off the setup from Ben McCartney."
The Utah Hockey Club now leads 3-2 against the Blues with nine minutes left in the third period. Despite the rough start, the team hopes to keep the lead and avoid further mistakes.
