The Vancouver Canucks have been a team not far from controversy for years now, and while it's been relatively quiet as of late, things still aren't perfect north of the border.
Vancouver Canucks writer Rob Simpson has been a key part of coverage of this team for many years now, but for the past 452 days, he has been banned from the Rogers Centre, and now, more light has been shed on the situation.
According to Simpson, the ban he was given was for no reason, as he revealed that management told him 'we don't have to tell you', before reportedly being blackmailed by a team employee.
While there's nothing to say that what Vancouver has done is illegal until proof is provided, this is overall a bad look for management, and with the team flying on the ice, this is just another unnecessary piece of drama off the ice.
Either way, Simpson is reportedly going to reveal all in an upcoming article, so until then, it's tough to see how this intriguing and bizarre situation will play out going forward.
