The NHL has punished Vancouver Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov for crosschecking Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid at the end of game 3.
This morning, the Vancouver Canucks received news that two of their players are facing discipline for a series of hits on Connor McDavid. One of them, Nikita Zadorov, has already been dealt with.
After last night's game between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers, tensions flared. Defensemen Carson Soucy and Nikita Zadorov took matters into their own hands, both delivering cross-checks to Connor McDavid.
Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000 for cross-checking Connor McDavid at the end of Game 3.
Zadorov has been fined $5,000 by the NHL for his cross-check on McDavid. Meanwhile, Soucy is set to have a phone hearing and could face a suspension for his role in the incident.
