It was just announced that the Winnipeg Jets have signed Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck to massive seven-year extensions.

These two are the heart and soul of the Jets so having them locked up for presumably the rest of their careers is crucial.
There was speculation on if the Jets would be trading either of them but with GM Kevin Cheveldayoff signing them both, it is clear that that will not be the case.
