McNiven, a former Montreal Canadiens prospect, showcased his skills in this unexpected showdown. Despite the challenge of fighting with bulky goalie equipment, both players gave their all.




Remarkably, with just 2.7 seconds remaining, officials allowed the brawl to unfold for almost 30 seconds. Amid wild swings, Johnson eventually managed to bring McNiven down to the ice, concluding the remarkable exchange.
