In a surprising announcement, the Calgary Flames have disclosed that 25-year-old forward Dillon Dube is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team, as confirmed in an official press release across their social media platforms.

Calgary Flames Forward Dillon Dube Leaves Team Indefinitely

While the Flames have provided scant details, it suggests a potential mental health crisis for Dube. Encouragingly, the team has shared that Dube is now receiving care from health professionals, and my sincere hope is that he receives the necessary support during this challenging time.
Although Dube's absence from Saturday night's Battle of Alberta was initially attributed to illness, it now aligns with his current situation. His last on-ice appearance for the Flames was in the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs last Thursday.
"Dillon Dube has been granted an indefinite leave of absence from the team while he attends to his mental health. Dillon is under the care of health professionals, and we request that Dillon's privacy is respected during this period."
