Marchand's Slewfoot On Liljegren Gets Worse For Maple Leafs

Tonight Brad Marchand was up to his old antics again. In a puck race with Timothy Liljegren, Marchand stuck out his leg and slewfooted Liljegren. No penalty was called on the play and Liljegren left the game with an injury.
NHL referees don't think this is a penalty on Marchand

After the game fans and media waited patiently for an update on Liljegren's health. The update is one that Maple Leafs fans will hate to hear.
Per @lukefoxjukebox, Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe says Timothy Liljegren will miss «significant time.»

With Liljegren expected to miss significant time one has to wonder if Brad Marchand will face punishment. Tomorrow Bruins fans will have to anxiously await any announcement of a hearing for Marchand. Despite not receiving a penalty Marchand could still face a hefty fine or even a suspension.
As any updates come regarding Liljegren's health or Marchand's discipline we will keep you aware.
