The Boston Bruins have been without veteran forward Milan Lucic. Today they got some bad news regarding his prognosis.
Lucic Goes Down With An Injury
Almost a month ago now the Boston Bruins announced that Milan Lucic would be out with a lower-body injury. He suffered the injury after taking a slapshot to the ankle in a game against the Los Angeles Kings.
Montgomery said that Milan Lucic will be out for a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury.
Lauko out for a week, he has a fracture, along with letting the swelling go down.
The expectation was that Lucic would miss a week or two and then be back in the lineup. Now it has been essentially three weeks and Lucic remains absent. Finally today Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery was able to give an update.
Devastating News For Lucic
Today Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery took the podium and gave an update on the health of Milan Lucic. According to Montgomery things are progressing slower than the team expected.
"Looch is not going as quick as we expected, so he's maybe a week behind where we expected, but it's not dramatic."
It sounds as though Lucic will miss a few more days or maybe an extra week. As long as the setbacks don't continue Lucic should be back on the ice and producing soon.
