Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe just dropped a massive update on Mitch Marner's health ahead of tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils.
Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe confirms that Mitch Marner won't play tonight against the Devils
In a press conference following this morning's practice session, the Maple Leafs head coach affirmed that Marner won't take part in the game tonight, and he doesn't know if he'll practice tomorrow.
From David Alter:
"Sheldon Keefe says Mitch Marner is progressing well and is day-to-day. His status for practice tomorrow is undetermined right now. He won't play tonight. "
Without Marner, the Leafs won four of their last seven games. They could definitely use his help in the last stretch of the season, but what's important is that he comes back healthy in time for the playoffs.
