After clearing unconditional waivers, former first round draft pick Nicolas Beaudin has been officially released by his team.
Montreal Canadiens Officially Terminate Nicolas Beaudin's Contract
The Montreal Canadiens and defenseman Nicolas Beaudin have mutually agreed to terminate his contract, as announced on Monday.
Nicolas Beaudin (MTL) clears unconditional waivers and will have his contract terminated.
Nicolas Beaudin, drafted 27th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2018, played 22 NHL games with the Blackhawks before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens in October 2022 in exchange for prospect Cam Hillis. Since the trade, Beaudin has not played in any NHL games with the Canadiens and has spent all his time in the AHL with the Laval Rocket, registering six assists in 16 games this season.
Beaudin is now free to sign with any of the other 31 NHL teams.
