NHL referee Kozari stretchered off ice after losing consciousness

During a critical showdown between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins, NHL official Steve Kozari was involved in an unfortunate collision, and was then stretchered off the ice after losing consciousness.

The crowd in attendance were stunned into silence as the event unfolded, before giving the veteran NHL official of over 1,000 games an ovation as he was stretchered from the ice.

The incident was obviously 100% an accident from those involved, and we hope that both parties involved are completely okay after an incredibly scary moment that could happen at anytime in the NHL.
