Carter Hart agrees to a new contract after getting suspended
Just a day after the Philadelphia Flyers did not qualify Carter Hart, the goaltender has signed a contract to continue his hockey career with Dinamo Minsk.
Carter Hart has had a rocky NHL career. I'm his glory days, he was a top prospect for the Flyers, but after his involvement with the 2018 world junior team scandal, the Flyers refused to qualify him.
Hockey News Hub broke the news on X, revealing that Hart will be signing with Dinamo Minsk. The announcement was confirmed via a tweet:
After the Dubé signing, Metaratings reports 🇨🇦 Carter Hart may continue his career with Dinamo Minsk #KHL
Hart's name had previously been associated with Ak Bars, but it seems Dinamo Minsk has secured his signature.
Hockey News Hub noted that Hart is not the only member of the 2018 Canadian World Junior team to head overseas. Former Calgary Flames forward Dillon Dubé also signed a contract yesterday, further highlighting the trend of players from that team continuing their careers outside the NHL.
As Hart embarks on this new chapter with Dinamo Minsk, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the once-promising goaltender adapts to his new environment and whether he can rejuvenate his career in the KHL.
